The room was confy, clean and warm.
There was a spacious shower, a couple of water bottles and a TV that had the local channels, CNN, a 24h fireplace (with crackling wood and all) channel.
The breakfast was top notch with 4 types of cereal, milk, coffee, various sorts of tea, fresh bread, jam, butter, ham of various sorts and many other things.
The staff (as all Dusseldorfians) were extra nice and helpful with tips and directions to enjoy the city.
Loved it!

Nicest staff, really great breakfast.
Incredible place to have an inexpensive single room. Nicest staff, really great breakfast. Lots of character, and extras like towels, mineral water, internet in room.

Sorry for the delay but have been travelling since our wonderful stay at your Hotel in August 09.
On behalf of my colleagues at Ropner Insurance Services (Lloyds Insurance Brokers) and Underwriters at Lloyds of London we are pleased to say that our stay at your family run hotel was more then we had hope.
The staff were very friendly and service was second to none. It goes without saying that our accomendation was first clas and we are all looking forward to staying with you again end January 2010 for the Düsseldorfatmu Yacht Show.

Definitely we enjoyed our stay in Hotel Haus Hillesheim
sure the next time we will come in Dusseldorf we will make the same choice. Everything was OK.
One small suggestion: it would be perfect if you could improve the signal for the wireless connection!
Comment from the Hotel: thank you for remark. All rooms in the main house have direct LAN access in the hotel-rooms by cable. We also have 5 WiFi Router in the house.

The rooms & ensuites were newly decorated to a very high standard.
Myself and my family stayed in this hotel from 6th to 9th december 2008.
We found the hotel to be very festive in its decoration.
The staff were more than helpful especially with directions as we were there to visit the christmas markets.

The breakfast provided more than filled us for the day.
The hotel is very homely, clean & safe. The rooms were cleaned everyday of our stay.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

We wanted a typical german hotel, and this was everything and more!
We stayed here a week before christmas, taking in the christmas markets.
We wanted a typical german hotel, and this was everything and more! The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good, plenty to get your day off to a good start.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, including families.
If there was one thing that I would suggest, it would be to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.
From the Hotel: There are Tea- Maker to rent over your stay. If you like your own Coffee and Tea maker in your hotel room, please book that in advance in the reservation formular.
Fantastic, and will stay here again - hopefully not leaving it too long before we return.

It was a most enjoyable visit.
My wife and I stayed for four nights from 12 to 16 December 2008.
It was a most enjoyable visit. A small friendly hotel with a good newly furnished room and plentiful continental breakfast.
A pleasant and efficient staff who went that little bit extra to make out stay all the more comfortable.
Located in the City Centre it is to be recommended to anyone wishing to visit Dusseldorf for a short break.

We stayed at the hotel from the 19th to the 21st December.
Hotel was very traditional, friendly and was decorated nicely for the Christmas period.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a short break.
We stayed at Hillesheim on15th Dec-18th Dec 2008 and we were really pleased with our stay.
Hotel very traditional which we liked and very clean.
Double room with ensuite was adequate, a bath would have been nice after a long cold day walking around the markets but the shower was good.
Breakfast very nice-good coffee.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a short break.

The thing I liked most about it was that is was more traditional than most hotels.
The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to all the major places in Dusseldorf.
It was clean and the staff were very friendly.
It was beautifully decorated for the xmas season.
The thing I liked most about it was that is was more traditional than most hotels. It wasn't a mass of marble and corridors of room doors. The rooms had everything you required. Breakfast was lovely. Reception were very helpfull. What more could you ask for.

Lovely rooms, especially the bathrooms
We stayed form 13 to 14 december 2008 with a group of 11 persons in 6 of your rooms. Lovely rooms, especially the bathrooms. Very nice and up-to-date!
A nice lounge to drink or read something, and good service.
Not a modern hotel which you can find in every town, but a hotel with a very local, pleasant atmosphere.
We will surely recommend it to anyone who askes us for a hotel in Dusseldorf!

The room 2 was very clean and modern and has a nice bathroom.
I´ve been in this comfortable hotel with my dad from 11 till 12 december. The room (2) was very clean and modern and has a nice bathroom. The people from the hotel are very nice and friendly.
The possibility to drink some in the bar is nice so you have time to talk to other people.
We have seen the Koningallee with the greet Christmas decorations and the Altstad with there Christmasmarket.
We have eate some by a mexicano The Bandido what was very good all the tables were full.

Maravilloso Hotel!! Nos alojamos en las fechas del 4 al 9 de diciembre y no pudimos haber elegido mejor.
Lo recomiendo 100%
El hotel es precioso, estaba decorado navideño y era muy acogedor, el personal fue encantador, el desayuno abundante y delicioso, todo estaba realmente limpio, las habitaciones son fabulosas, está bien comunicado y lo suficiente cerca de todas las atracciones importantes pero en zona muy tranquila.
No tengo ninguna duda, cuando vuelva a Düsseldorf pienso volver a este hotel.

Our bedroom was just perfect, on the first floor with a lovely double-sized shower.
We stayed for 2 nights 3rd and 4th December and were very impressed with everything - from the warm welcome on arrival, to the hot, creamy coffee and fresh rolls at breakfast.
Our bedroom was just perfect, on the first floor with a lovely double-sized shower. We thought it was a really nice gesture, giving out the free tram tickets.
If we return to Dusseldorf, we would definitely book this hotel again.
