I had a great (albeit brief) stay at the Hotel and it was great!
The staff was very friendly, and the room was IMMACULATE.
Shower was also great.
It was within a 15 minute walk to the attractions I wanted to see, and easy to find.
Breakfast in the morning was also very pleasant - good coffee!
I would definitely recommend this place!

That is true many people wrote good review for this hotel! This is a great small hotel. I stayed there for visiting for christmas markets. As soon as enter the hotel reception there was full of Cristmas decorations in every inches !!! which were so perfect , so quiet , pretty amazing welcom feeling. Normaly I don't use hotel lounge even they have big space, but we stayed there was so cosy for tea time and before the bed. Staff are so friendly. The room and bath room (with biger shower than nomal hotel) were so perfect clean , quiet as it was located by off main street. Breakfast serving till 1100. It was basic continental style with nice atmosphere ( clean, neat, pretty table settings). Good location .5-10 mints for old town on foot , 3 stops to the main station by tram but also walking distance. Threre is no lift but they have rooms at grand level. We had a grest Cristmas time in Dusseldorf thanks Haus Hilleshein!

The people who run it are sooo nice and helpful! Breakfast is very good, though! I would absolutely stay here again.

definitely recommend
in a quiet neighborhood, close to main train station ,15 min walk to Rein river, lovely breakfast. definitely recommend~!!

That hotel is great
That hotel is great. With its price level and comfort! I enjoyed sitting at that round table in the comfortable chair, writing my dissertation. And guess what? That nignt i wrote about 11 pages...

The room was confy, clean and warm.
There was a spacious shower, a couple of water bottles and a TV that had the local channels, CNN, a 24h fireplace (with crackling wood and all) channel.
The breakfast was top notch with 4 types of cereal, milk, coffee, various sorts of tea, fresh bread, jam, butter, ham of various sorts and many other things.
The staff (as all Dusseldorfians) were extra nice and helpful with tips and directions to enjoy the city.
Loved it!

Nicest staff, really great breakfast.
Incredible place to have an inexpensive single room. Nicest staff, really great breakfast. Lots of character, and extras like towels, mineral water, internet in room.

Sorry for the delay but have been travelling since our wonderful stay at your Hotel in August
On behalf of my colleagues at Ropner Insurance Services (Lloyds Insurance Brokers) and Underwriters at Lloyds of London we are pleased to say that our stay at your family run hotel was more then we had hope.
The staff were very friendly and service was second to none. It goes without saying that our accomendation was first clas and we are all looking forward to staying with you again end January 2012 for the Düsseldorf Yacht Show.

Definitely we enjoyed our stay in Hotel Haus Hillesheim
sure the next time we will come in Dusseldorf we will make the same choice. Everything was OK.
One small suggestion: it would be perfect if you could improve the signal for the wireless connection!
Comment from the Hotel: thank you for remark. All rooms in the main house have direct LAN access in the hotel-rooms by cable. We also have 5 WiFi Router in the house.

The rooms & ensuites were newly decorated to a very high standard.
Myself and my family stayed in this hotel from 6th to 9th december 2008.
We found the hotel to be very festive in its decoration.
The staff were more than helpful especially with directions as we were there to visit the christmas markets.

The breakfast provided more than filled us for the day.
The hotel is very homely, clean & safe. The rooms were cleaned everyday of our stay.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

We wanted a typical german hotel, and this was everything and more!
We stayed here a week before christmas, taking in the christmas markets.
We wanted a typical german hotel, and this was everything and more! The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good, plenty to get your day off to a good start.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, including families.
If there was one thing that I would suggest, it would be to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.
From the Hotel: There are Tea- Maker to rent over your stay. If you like your own Coffee and Tea maker in your hotel room, please book that in advance in the reservation formular.
Fantastic, and will stay here again - hopefully not leaving it too long before we return.

It was a most enjoyable visit.
My wife and I stayed for four nights from 12 to 16 December 2008.
It was a most enjoyable visit. A small friendly hotel with a good newly furnished room and plentiful continental breakfast.
A pleasant and efficient staff who went that little bit extra to make out stay all the more comfortable.
Located in the City Centre it is to be recommended to anyone wishing to visit Dusseldorf for a short break.

We stayed at the hotel from the 19th to the 21st December.
Hotel was very traditional, friendly and was decorated nicely for the Christmas period.
Our Room was very comfortable and clean.
